Drayage
Connect with port-experienced carriers for container moves from the port or rail ramp to the warehouse or final mile, and follow every one from gate to door.
How it works
Import, export or rail, a drayage move goes the same five steps.
01
The shipper or broker posts the container move with the port or rail ramp, the container details, the pickup window and the delivery address.
02
The load goes to verified carriers and dispatchers with port access and the right equipment, publicly or to your private network. The bids come back to you.
03
You book the carrier and send the rate confirmation. The dispatcher assigns the driver, truck and chassis, and the terminal or ramp appointment is set.
04
The driver gates in, picks up the container and checks it and the chassis. On an export the empty is collected and loaded first. You follow it from the gate to the dock.
05
Delivery is confirmed with a signature and photos, and the empty goes back. On an export the container reaches the port before cutoff. Papers and charges are checked before invoicing.
The truck leg is where the day-to-day work happens, and where delays and fees add up.

The journey
Intermodal and drayage go together: the container stays the same while the way it travels changes.
