PTTR1 Tracking
PTTR1 Tracking follows a load from pickup to delivery using the driver’s phone. It records each arrival and departure and shows brokers and carriers where the trip stands, when the driver agrees to share.
What you get
Tracking is part of the load, not a separate tool. Open the load and see where it is, which stops are done and how far to trust what you see.
Carriers see the exact position of their truck. Brokers see it in detail as the truck nears a stop, and the town it is in the rest of the time.
When the truck holds still at a stop, the arrival is logged with its time. When it leaves, so is the departure. Nobody has to call it in.
Every load says whether tracking is on, has lost signal, is off, or is being updated by the carrier’s office.
See when each pickup and delivery was reached and left, and who recorded it: the driver’s phone, the carrier’s office or the driver by hand.
How it works
The carrier puts a driver and a truck on the booked load.
In the PTTR1 Driver app the driver accepts the load, starts it and chooses whether to share location.
While the truck moves, the phone reports its position, even from the background.
Arrivals and departures are worked out from the positions and timed. The first departure puts the load in transit.
Leaving the last stop ends the sharing, and the delivery closes the trip.
Privacy and control
Tracking runs on the driver’s phone and only with the driver’s consent.
The driver agrees to share location when starting a trip, and can decline. The stops are then updated by hand.
The carrier sees the exact position. The broker sees it exactly only near the next stop, and as a town the rest of the time.
Sharing stops when the truck leaves its last stop, and nothing more is shared after delivery.
Reading the status
No driver has started the load yet.
The driver’s phone is sharing its position.
Sharing, but nothing has been heard for 30 minutes.
The driver declined tracking, so the stops are updated by hand.
The carrier’s office started the trip for a driver who is not in the app, and records the stops from check calls.
The load was delivered. Nothing more is shared.
